Keppel Land

This is regarding the Elita Promenade apartment complex, a joint venture between Keppel Land and Puravankara. Project execution is completely under Keppel Land.

This project has been horribly delayed. Moreover their attention to quality is ever diminishing. We had bought a 3BHK apartment in A10 block of this apartment complex. We were given notice of handover on May 18 2010 after months of chasing Keppel's management. It took them more than a month to fix their shoddy quality of work. But the trouble did not end and seems like its never going to.

There have been numerous leakage problems in our apartment and they have been fixing them. Although its appreciable that they are fixing the problems, why are these problems happening in first place? Another problem is that management indiscriminately turns deaf ears to newly discovered issues. We are less than a week away moving into our apartment and there are still unfixed leakage issues. Funniest part is when we enquire about the status of the issue, Keppel management says "Its in progress, this is all we are hearing from our contractors, so cant say more". I wonder what value Keppel brand is adding here. Isn't it the very Keppel brand for which we have paid so much money?

Pictures below show the magnitude of leakage issues.

Above image shows the leakage in the corner of kitchen. Kitchen shelves have been already fixed, I wonder who is going to pay if the leakage damages the shelves?

Above image is of bathroom ceiling from where the water is literally trickling down.

And above is the result of trickling water from bathroom ceiling.

This image shows the wet patch in the wall in one of the bedrooms. Our wardrobe is supposed to come on this wall. The work is stalled due to above leakage.

Disgusted and appalled by the situation this is what I have written to Keppel management.

Dear Mr Collin,

We are less than a week from moving into our apartment and the leakage issues have not yet been fixed. Worst part is we are finding new leakages just before we are getting ready to move. Our woodwork is getting delayed and we are really getting worried about all the plight we will have to go through after we move in. To add to this Mr Madhu says "Work is in progress. This is all we are hearing from our contractors.", "We are not able to get the work done by the date committed". Kudos to your level of professionalism!!!

You can see some pictures here {link to this blog}. Are you guys waiting for this to be published in Singapore press? A reply with baseless assurance is not going to work. I seek detailed explanation and action.

Regards,

Lets see what they have to say...

This is just one of the issues with one of their 1500 apartments. Isn't Keppel Land cheating people?
